Play Date Play Redefined — Laundry & Lashes

Play Date is a family-owned indoor play space that has been on my bucket list of local places to take my kids. I really wanted to take the kids here because it didn’t look like other play spaces, like a huge obstacle course that I had to chase my kids around. When I checked it out It was filled with not only a playground space but with many educational toys that allows children to be more creative and use their imagination. What really drew me to this place was that its catered more for infants, toddlers and younger kids (5-8 years old). I had taken my kids to other indoor play spaces but it would be too large and hectic for my toddlers. Not only do they offer an a safe and large open play space but also parent + me classes, hosted play dates, and private birthday parties.

As soon as I found out about this place, I called a few mom friends and scheduled a play date. Then that week, Covid started and shelter in place was mandated. Play Date has been closed since then and will reopen when it is safe to do so. When they do open, we’ll be there to support & welcome them back!

In the meantime, they’ve been selling To Go Craft Boxes on Etsy. They are themed craft kits complete with all the materials needed for the 8-10 activities. The kit was such a lifesaver and couldn’t have come at a better time. We were hitting 2 months of being quarantined and the kids were tired of doing the same activities over and over. The owner was kind enough to drop off our craft box on my doorstep!

You can tell how much love and creativity went into these craft kits; they are individually handcrafted and perfectly curated according to the box’s theme. You can choose from themes like Dinosaurs, Unicorns, Construction, Llamas, Firetrucks and so much more. The kit comes with all the materials needed to create 8 crafts. My favorite part of it all was the craft box it comes in not only serves as storage for the crafts but it doubles as a coloring page!

My daughter and I did the rainbow craft kit together. It was so nice to take a break and just have fun with my daughter and everything was all ready to go. If you have time check out her Etsy Shop, I plan on getting a few more different themes, it’ll be great to have ready for a rainy day, the next play date or even as a birthday gift!
